I figure since we didn’t actually hit the cow standing in the road it might be a sign we should take advantage of the situation lol

Great pictures. Loved the sixth one. Looks like a hidden lagoon that either climb a steep cliff to reach or swim in from the ocean. Kind of pirate-y.

It was! We had to climb those roots to get there and I feel superhuman for making it to the top and back to the bottom with two live toddlers lol

I’d say you should buy a superhero cape, but I just watched ‘The Incredibles’. Capes are a bad idea. 🙂

It amazes me actually, the creative parts of the mind seem to come alive with the sounds of nature. I dislike the going home part:) but the kids have such a great sense of adventure and I am so happy they are learning to appreciate natural beauty. They may be the last American children with no video games!

You are a very talented photographer! My favorite picture is the one looking up the tree. I have shot many of those and not a single one looks as good as YOUR tree. Kudos – you are a tree spotter, too :))

Thank you:) my kids think it’s so funny that I will obsess over a single tree when there are thousands of them, I’m so glad someone else understands. I like clouds too lol

How did your trip go?

It was nice… just 2 hours to Paris from London. Just did lots of walking and eating and drinking. But it wasn’t so great for my credit card!

I went the cheap route, sandwiches, rucksack, kids are cheap dates lol

Yeah, to be honest I wasn’t exactly extravagant… it was mainly buying the train ticket at the last minute that was the problem :S

You obviously are multi-talented and photography is one of those talents. Washington and Oregon are a photographers dream come true. Love the tree/root pic. All of them are great. Thanks for sharing! Several would make awesome book covers. And of course who can resist cute little boys playing in mud? LOL

Yeah, a little late, but I’m so glad I saved this post to look back. Your own little private island and watering hole. I see the boys were already getting busy with the sand. Did they find/hid anything? Perhaps a message in a bottle? Okay, enough cliches. 😛

There’s a comic strip in our newspaper about two sisters and their kids. They go camping by a lake, and the 9-year-old brings home a crawdad and sticks it in the bathtub. It’s discovered by the older sister about to take a shower 😛
