Multifaceted author, screenwriter and playwright Scott Fivelson, along with narrator Mariel Hemingway bring us this short audiobook “A Farewell to Legs.” I recommend that you take a few minutes and listen to it. If you would prefer reading it, you can also do so by following the link at the bottom of this post. Excellent work.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I very much enjoyed this short, entertaining break from reality. The way Mariel Hemingway narrated this story was wonderful. Her voice and tone added so much inflection to the story, making it easy to close your eyes and really get lost in it. I liked that she followed the rises and falls of the book itself and reflected that in her reading.

This audio book moves from one subject to the next and then back again with ease. It has a nice blend of humour, thought provoking statements and some great quotes too. My personal favourite, being English myself, was “Englishman spoiled everything,” I laughed out loud.

If you are looking for a few minutes to yourself and want to relax and listen to something calming, fun and thoughtful, might I recommend a Farewell to Legs by Scott Fivelson. Great audio book, great ending.
