Shakespeare published 154 sonnets in his quarto in 1609. While the initial 126 are addressed to a young man, the final 28 are directed toward an enigmatic woman referred to as the dark lady.
Love this part: “Please be aware before you send anything to me that I am always honest. What this means, is that if I dislike your book, I will not be afraid to say so. I will never do so in a way that is degrading to the author, but I also will not sugar coat the way I feel about any book. If you have not become thick-skinned enough by the time you publish your book to handle a review that is not glowing then please consider your choice of careers carefully.”
Nice that you offer such a service!

Thanks for stopping by and saying hello! Yeah…I was kind of hoping I might scare away those who were expecting an easy five star. I do understand how tough it is to write a book and to be criticized once you put your work out there, but I also want people to be prepared. ๐ I wasn’t born with much of a filter and I tend to say whatever comes to mind.

Thank you for stopping by my blog site, mbtimetraveler.com. I have three books out currently and two more should be out by summer. I want to risk you not liking them in a review, but the review request button above does not seem to be working. You can contact me at eiverness@cox.net or at my blog. I will continue to try the link over the next few days, but it keeps giving me a message it cannot find it. Thanks!

Which Submit button would we be talking about?? I wasn’t aware that I had one. I usually just receive my review requests through my email. Either way, I would be happy to take a look at your book. Feel free to send me the info at readfulthings@gmail.com I look forward to it.

Hi, I like your blog, and really like the notion that you’re a musician, photographer, reader, and writer. Cross fertilization, creatively! Also like your photos and see that you enjoy close-ups. I NEVER leave home without a pocket camera, and can think of no better way of keeping your vision sharp. What’s your music? Are your kids creative—well, stupid question, isn’t it. All kids are creative.

Thank you so much, and it is very nice to meet you. I do like close-ups. I also have a thing for wide angle shots, but in my tests they didn’t look do great on my site. I was impressed with your site as well. Nice to meet another nature lover and photo enthusiast! I play classical piano pieces and a bit of contemporary music as well. You are so right, kids are very creative! I look forward to more of your posts.

Really appreciate your submission guidelines. Honest feedback is gold dust to a writer and, even if it is painful, I find comments on what hasn’t worked almost more useful than praise and often more difficult to come by. With a fiction and a non-fiction book in the pipeline, I look forward to submitting a request (one at a time, I promise) for a review.

Ionia, I like your direct approach. I plan to send you a book review request in the next day or so. You have such an interesting name. Is there a story behind it?

I will look forward to it. I was named after my grandmother, who had family in Greece. I think we were both names after the Ionian regions of Greece. I use Ionia Martin because it is less of a mouthful than Ionia Anatolia Mariah Florescu-Martin try putting that on a standard form ๐

I really enjoyed reading your submission guidelines! I do have one question though, when you say paperback or Kindle format, does that mean you’d rather have the (real, able-to-hold-in-your-hand-and-smell-the-new-book-smell) paperback or the (really-is-on-my-kindle-device) kindle edition, or is that how the document (not PDF, right?) must be set up? I’d really love to send you my book, (it is a YA western fiction) but am unsure how to get it to you. Please let me know! Thank you very much!

Either way is really okay, I always love “real” books, but I know how expensive it gets sending out copies. I accept any copy that a kindle can read. Thank you for asking ๐

What is a mobi document? And is there any way I can send you a Kindle version? (I’m not too tech savvy)

If you wish you can send me a PDF and I will convert it to a kindle mobi doc, or you can just send a Microsoft word doc.

I think many of us think about formats nowadays, both to send to others and for publishing purposes. Sadly, though, some of us are not even sure what formats are useable on different tablet systems, and how to put our creations into the most feasible ones.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it
to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to
go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic
but I had to tell someone!
